France's Moonscoop Productions, one of the leading independent producers of animation worldwide and currently Europe's top producer of animation, has initiated production on a new 3D-animated TV series based on the beloved "Casper, The Friendly Ghost" cartoon character.

In the new series, titled "Casper's Scare School," young Casper befriends a human boy, which is strictly forbidden, according to the ghost rules, so he is sent off to Scare School, where he must learn the art of scaring people. This is no easy task for a young ghost who was born to be friendly to everyone he meets.

Scheduled to debut on France's TF1 in 2009, "Casper's Scare School" is co-produced by Moonscoop, Classic Media and Data Quest Entertainment.
